This series is my new and exciting journey into the cracks, crevices, colors and potential life lessons of time-worn surfaces. These works rely on an underlying foundation of movement and texture. A literal “undercurrent” if you will. My quest is to connect our innermost soul to the extraordinary energy that emanates from time-worn, exposed surfaces. These works are about how time and life-experience transform the blank slate of newness into spectacular individuality and character. It was a great pleasure in my October 2024 show to focus my artist’s talk on how each of these works tie to the human condition.
